Maddalena is a feminist and queer activist who graduated in the International Track in Medicine at Maastricht University, in The Netherlands. She has a special interested in gynaecology and obstetrics and decided to take Global Health as her second master. Her path brought her to the birth rooms of Ecuador, Italy and The Netherlands where she has worked with Indigenous peoples and different social minorities. Furthermore, she has been founder and event coordinator of LadyFest Maastricht since its first edition in 2016. She has also been the main promoter and researcher of the crowd-funding campaign Into the world: make birth beautiful and safe. She has collaborated with countless feminist organizations such as Planned Parenthood in Strasbourg, The F word Fest in Amsterdam and Hacker Porn Film Festival in Rome. Her self-gynaecology workshops have been empowering people all over Europe. Her favourite colour is Red.
Rosario Veneno is an Argentinian multidisciplinary artist, based in Europe since 2016. With her performances and workshops she has been touring among countless feminist and queer festivals, among others "Porn yourself" at Paris, "Semaine des magies" and "Xpanded film festival" in Marseille, and "Rrriot in BXhell" in Bruxelles. Her performative and pedagogic work focuses on the diversity of sexuality, the relationship between sex and the vital energies, and other few personal obsessions. In her workshops, she aims to profoundly connect our political values with our bodies, putting feminism in action and taking care of the wounds of trauma to give space to pleasure as a form of healing.
Leonie van der Kinderen is a drama therapist, coach and mental health specialist since 2007. She is passionate about relationships, consent and creating spaces where people can move freely and explore their many possibilities in expression and interaction. She has been running a centre for the Arts Therapies in Maastricht offering both individual therapy and courses for groups. Her work focuses on human growth, personal development and strengthening interpersonal connections. She has been collaborating with local partners, including Trajekt, Maastricht University and Hogeschool Zuid. She has been facilitating consent workshops with Consent Matters since 2017. As a therapist, she uses a wide range of creative methods to facilitate her workshops using exercises from diverse art forms and psychological frameworks such as acting, poetry and dance.
Annabelle Schapals is a certified Hatha and Vinyasa Yoga teacher with a vivid interest in embodiment, nutrition, and overall wellbeing. After living in Germany and Switzerland, she moved to the Netherlands to study Liberal Arts and Sciences at Maastricht University. In her academic career she focussed on Sociology and Philosophy investigating topics related to the body, its role for individual identity as well as its place in society. Based on her critical perspective on the way the body is conceptualized and objectified in contemporary culture, Annabelle's work aims at exploring new ways of enhancing a positive and loving relationship with one´s body. To her, Yoga is a central practice that supports her in fostering a caring relationship with the body while promoting the overall wellbeing. Her interest in holistic health is also reflected in her passion for vegan cooking and nutrition. She has an extensive background in community design and strenghtening through years of activism in cultural free spaces.
